Philips models and file formats
We open DS2 and DSS files from Philips recorders. Here is what we know about common models.
Philips DPM8000 series
Enterprise-grade pocket recorder. Saves in DS2 format on many configurations via Philips SpeechExec software.
Philips SpeechMike Premium
Desktop USB dictation microphone. Integrates with SpeechExec and can record in DS2 or DSS format.
Older Philips DPM models
Earlier Philips dictation recorders saved in DSS or a DS2-compatible format. We open both.
Not sure about your model's format? Check the file extension. .ds2 and .dss are both accepted. If your file has a .dvt extension, email us and we will confirm whether a conversion step is needed.
