About the WAV format
WAV is an uncompressed audio format. Files carry the extension .wav and contain the audio exactly as it was recorded, with no quality loss from compression.
Professional recording hardware, telephony systems and digital transcription equipment often produce WAV files. Some dictation software and courtroom recording systems default to WAV.
Because WAV stores uncompressed audio, files are larger than MP3 or M4A. A 10-minute dictation can be 50 MB or more. We accept large files by upload or shared folder.
For a full list of formats we accept, see the file formats guide. If your recorder saves in DS2 or DSS, see the DS2 file guide.
How it works
Record
Dictate into your professional recorder, microphone or telephony system. WAV is the standard output from most studio and transcription hardware.
Send
Upload on the send page, or email the file to ds2genie@sogoodmail.co. Shared folder delivery via Dropbox or Google Drive also works.
Receive the letter
The AI drafts the document on your template. A person can check it before it returns to you. Most jobs come back the same business day.
What you receive back
- The finished letter on your own letterhead or Word template
- A full verbatim transcript
- A summary with key names, dates and action points
- Action points listed separately
Other formats we open
We accept more than WAV. If your recorder or system saves in a different format, it is likely covered.
