About the Philips DPM6000
The Philips DPM6000 is a professional pocket dictation recorder from the Philips Digital Pocket Memo range. It connects to a PC via USB and works with Philips SpeechExec software to manage recordings, file formats and workflow distribution.
When configured to output DS2 format through SpeechExec, the DPM6000 produces files with the .ds2 extension that we open directly. In some configurations it may produce DVT files. Check the file extension before sending. DS2 and DSS files are both accepted; DVT may need a conversion step.

How to send a DPM6000 recording for transcription
Locate the .ds2 or .dss file
Connect the DPM6000 by USB or retrieve the file through SpeechExec. Check the extension. If it ends in .ds2 or .dss, it is ready to send. If it ends in .dvt, email us first and we will confirm next steps.
